Optimist International Junior Golf Championship
Practice Round Information
Practice rounds are NOT included in the registration fee and are optional to the players.
The Blue Monster course is not available for the 2027 year.
TO MAKE A PRACTICE ROUND TEE TIME:
Call Trump National Doral (Miami) at 305-592-2000 mention Optimist Junior Golf Championship to arrange a tee time during resort hours at 8 am - 5:30 pm Eastern time (times subject to change).
Tee times can be made after June 16, 2027. Practice Rounds are optional and are NOT included in your registration. Golf Carts may be rented in the pro shop during practice rounds only - first come-first served. Parents and other guests may serve as caddies during practice rounds only.
OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Optimist Tees markers will be set for official practice rounds.
- Due to the size of the fields, families are not allowed to play during these days.
- Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12 --- July 12
- Boys 14-15 and Girls 13-14 -- July 16
- Girls 15-18 --- July 20
- Boys 16-18 --- July 24
- Greens fee cost is $57 inclusive per player (walking) per round. Practice rounds are payable to the resort
To view hole by hole yardages click here. - Carts may be rented in the pro shop and are allowed during practice rounds for additional $60.00 + tax (valid driver s license required).
UNOFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Tee markers will not be set for players on unofficial practice round days. Optimist Tee markers are not in correct locations because of course maintenance for incoming phase. To find out yardage and tee markers to play by, correlate the yardages for tournament with course yardage book to figure out correct yardages.
On unofficial practice rounds, courses will be available for Junior Golfers on the following days following play of the current phase.
- Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12 --- July 11
- Boys 14-15 and Girls 13-14 -- July 15 after play of current phase.
- Girls 15-18 July 19 after play of current phase.
- Boys 16-18 July 23 after play of current phase.
- Unofficial practice rounds may be reserved NO MORE than 14 days in advance of requested date of play.
- Greens fee cost is $68 + tax per player (walking). Unofficial practice rounds are payable directly to the resort.
- Carts may be rented for additional $60.00 + tax (valid driver s license required).
